Room and Board for Workshop Pariticpants
Historic Housing
Handshouse projects take place in lots of places. Projects hosted at the home base studio in Norwell, MA offer the signature Handshouse immersive experience. Handshouse creates projects outside of the traditional classroom that energize history through the reconstruction of large historical objects. Coming together to work, live, and eat together for a period of time creates a chance to dive deep into the complex community of participants and create connections of all kinds, both within the context of the project and beyond.
Home-Cooked Meals
One of the most important parts of the immersive workshop experience, is sitting around the table at meals together. Coming together to work, live, and eat together for a period of time creates a chance to dive deep into the complex layers of the project, its history, and the community of participants at each workshop. There is nothing like “breaking bread” together to allows connections of all kinds to forged, both within the context of the project and as collaborators.
