"Pharoah's Obelisk" Video

"Pharoah's Obelisk" on PBS Nova's Secrets of Lost Empires Series: This video is for the second program in the Secrets of Lost Empires NOVA mini-series, which aired on PBS stations across the country in 2000. The video describes how a diverse group of members of the Guild and Massachusetts College of Art, ld by Rick and Laura Brown, worked with a crew from WGBH/NOVA to film the raising of a 27-ton granite obelisk Egyptian style.

"Medieval Siege" Video

A video of the first program in the Secrets of Lost Empires NOVA mini-series, which aired on PBS stations across the country in 2000. Handshouse was among the group of some 50 craftsmen who traveled to northern Scotland to participate in building authentic replicas of a medieval siege engine called a trebuchet. The project was filmed by NOVA/WGBH Boston for NOVA's Secrets of Lost Empires series.
